The Yamaha YXZ1000R SE features a 998cc, fuel injected three cylinder engine, 5-speed sequential transmission, and On-command 3-way locking differential for 2WD, 4WD or full diff-lock 4WD. The double-wishbone independent suspension with fully adjustable FOX 2.5 Podium RC2 dual spring shocks had 16.2"/17.0" of front/rear suspension travel. Other features include EPS, hydraulic disc brakes, 29" Maxxis Bighorn tires on 14" alloy beadlock wheels, a digital/analog instrument cluster, electronic power steering, 13.2" of ground clearance and a 300 lb. capacity cargo bed. Additional refinements include a rear-mounted radiator, LED headlights and taillights, and larger brakes than the previous version.
