The Yamaha YXZ1000R SS features Yamaha Sport Shift a sequential 5-speed manual transmission with Yamaha Chip Controlled Shift (YCC-S) technology, steering mounted paddle shifters and Launch System for high-speed take-offs. This model also has a 998cc, fuel injected three cylinder engine, double-wishbone independent suspension, 16.2"/17.0" of front/rear suspension, FOX 2.5 Podium RC2 shocks, hydraulic disc brakes and 29" Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires. Other features include digital/analog instrument cluster, electronic power steering, 13.2" of ground clearance and a 300 lb. capacity cargo bed. Additional refinements include a rear-mounted radiator, LED headlights and taillights, and larger brakes than the previous version.
